Back

Josiah was admitted back into the hospital yesterday.  He started really not feeling well yesterday late morning and when I took him in to see the doctor he had a fever and his blood counts were at a zero.  He was taken right over to Mercy hospital here in Des Moines and they are pumping him with antibiotics and fluids.  At this point he can not fight off anything on his own and his visitors are very resticted…I’m not even bringing the kids to see him.  He is not allowed to have any fresh fruits or vegatables because he can’t even fight off any bacteria that might be on them…that’s how weak his body is right now.  He is feeling more comfortable, thank God, but will probably be in the hospital for a few days.  Please pray that not only would his body heal but that his spirits would remain high.  He really dislikes being in the hospital.

  10. Jess and Josiah, I am lifting you up before the throne of God. I saw your strength before your session and I know you can do this.

    Jess, just being there as time allows is comforting. I want to share somethig I read the other day;

    Based on Matthew 4:16
    Shadows fall opposite their light source. That’s why your shadow is in front of your when the sun is behind you and viec versa. The way your’re facing determines whether or not you can see your shadow easily.
    This physical truth has profonsd spiritual implications for us as we live under the shadow of illness. We have to keep facing the light in order not to see the shadow so easily.
    Perhaps when you heard the diagnoss, you got out of position spiritually. You couldn’t figure out how a loving God could allow this to happen. Maybe you even felt at times as if He didn’t hear your prayers.
    This prochecy from Isaish 9:2 show us that Jesus is the great light. You know you’re turned toward the light when you talk to Him, pouring out your heart to the One who hears, understands, and has the power to to respond.

    Keep facing toward, the light as I’m sure you are and He will give you strenght to endure.

    Let us know if you need anything. Continuing lifting you up.
