- “I’m going to go visit my friend Liz. It’s a different Liz.” Me: “Oh, do I know her?” Ava: “Yea, I think you’ve met her…Hi Liz!” Me: “Am I Liz?” Ava: “Of course.”
- “I’m not a big fan of pigs.” Her conclusion after a late night discussion with Goon (her imaginary friend) on the topic of Wilbur (the pig from Charlotte’s web). Although she did say that she liked that pig because he’s cute.
- “Jesus came to earth because He loved us so much and He died on the cross for our sins. But He didn’t stay dead…He rose from the grave!” Me: “And where is Jesus now?” Ava: “In Heaven.” Me: “And who else is in Heaven?” Ava: “Dad!” Me: “Can we go to Heaven too?” Ava: “Of course!” Me: “When?” Ava: “Only God knows.”
- “This is my favorite book!” (Holding her Dad’s Bible)
- “Speaking of Lincoln, can I have my necklace?”
- “God, please…I just want to go heaven. Please take me to heaven…please. Amen.”
- “This is so GLAMOROUS.” Judging by her tone, I believe she meant “frustrating”
Beautiful Things 
I love Ava-isms, she is so brilliantly cute. It also gives my heart comfort knowing she has moments of joy midst her sorrow. The Lord is so good!

Jess, you should write a “mommy’s” book all about the precious things that come out of her mouth. Even if it’s something that you never had published, it’s something that you could share with her as she got older.
