Some of Link’s current often used words and phrases:
- “Here it is!” = one of his first phrases and said as one long word.
- “Peeeees” = Please
- “Es-shear” = Right here
- “Too-Time” = Food time.
- “Ga-em” = Got ’em
- “Gee-em” = Get ’em
- “Bap-bees” = Batteries (usually accompanied by him holding up a toy and often a screw driver too)
- “Ah-K” = OK
- “I know?” = I don’t know (when said with hands upturned and shoulders shrugged until neck disappears)
- “Ah Go?” = Where did it go?
- “Dummm” = Jump
- “Di, di, di” = Dig, dig, dig. Usually a back-hoe
- “Wound, wound, wound” = Round, round, round. Usually means cement truck.
- “Crane-crane” = Crane. (these are currently one of his favorite things)
- (Pushes on himself with his hand) = Means bulldozer (don’t ask)
- “Flys” = Any bug. Could also mean flys. He currently likes to pretend they are on the ceiling and shoots them with his gun.
- “Flys. ah gone” = Flys are all gone. Usually said after he is done with the afore-mentioned activity.
- “Choo-choo” = train
- “Car-Car” = Any vehicle smaller than a pick-up truck.
- “Taaaah!” = Tah Dah
- “Gunnn” = Gun
- “Ah-E-E” = Monkey. Could also mean Curious George, or Curious George band-aids
- “Ruff” = Puppy
- “Ooow”= Kitty
- “Quack, quack” = yep, you guessed it, duck (also knows cow and sheep)
- “Grrrrr” = (whispered) he is the quietest bear/lion you will ever meet
- “G-noooow = Snow
- “Cwying” = Crying. Usually used when informing me that he has been crying. I’m sure to make me feel guilty…it works.
- “By-eeeeee” = Bye. Said very loudly.
- “Laaalou” = Love you. My favorite 🙂
- “Wow! Cooo!” = Wow! Cool! He said this after opening most of his Christmas gifts. Also said when he sees something really exciting (like a truck)
He says most things loudly and with gusto. He also still says a lot of gibberish and I LOVE that. Ava didn’t jabber much at all so I’m enjoying his “baby talk” as long as it lasts 🙂
