hmmmm…

Well…I’m sitting in Josiah’s hospital room with a lovely and flattering, paper yellow gown and some very fitted rubber gloves.  What reason do you have for being in this getup?  I’m glad you asked.  We found out today that Josiah has a lower GI infection so anyone entering his room gets outfitted with a new wardrobe.  But in all seriousness, why do these gowns have to be yellow?  It is really not my color.  Josiah started shedding hair like crazy a few days ago and buzzed his hair.  I like it.  He’s as hot as ever:)DSC08438 In other news, as of this afternoon Josiah’s WBC is 4.1!  YAY!  He will hopefully be going home tomorrow, he’ll just be on an antibiotic for the infection.  Can’t wait to have my man home!

Ava and I had a little Mommy-Daughter date this morning.DSC08461 I took her to a wooden playground and the beach…well as close as we can get to a beach in central Iowa.  And if you don’t mind playing in equal parts sand and goose poop, it’s really quite fun!DSC08474 I had such a great time playing at the castle playground and the “beach” with my girl.  It helped that it was such a gorgeous day and we had so much fun running around, splashing, making “eggs” out of the sand/poop, blowing bubbles, and just being silly.DSC08489 Although, we did decide that when we come back, we need to bring Daddy too.

Oh, and Lincoln now officially has 2 teeth.  I’m really hoping we get a break from teething for a while…poor little buddy.DSC08491

Well, I think that gets you up to date.  Thank you so much for your prayers and encouragement.  We read every one of your posts.

Rejoicing day by day.

:)

I’m sitting by my hunny, listening to some Casting Crown, and trying to be quiet to let him rest.  I’m watching (and listening) to him sleep and just loving him so much.  As much as my heart yearns for us all to be together at home, we have been able to have some precious times together, just the two of us.  Who knew it would take cancer to get a date with my hubby!  I’m just kidding…but you have to find the humor.  We are still praying for Josiah’s white blood cell count to come up soon so he can go home before we head back to Iowa City next week.  His WBC was at zero last Thursday and he is only at a .8 today.  He needs to be at least at a 4.5 before he can go home.  God is more than able to get that to happen today, so we are praying to that end.  The kids are still doing well…although I believe Lincoln is working on more teeth, poor baby!  I’m hoping we can both get some sleep soon:)  Every night when I get to my parents house Ava comes running to the door and says exuberantly “my mom’s home!”.  It puts a smile on my face every time!  I just love my babies!

Well, Josiah is now up so I think I need to put my game face on and break out a little Four in a row!
