just some TLC for the weekend

OK, I have a couple minutes to myself so I thought I would write a quick update without someone interrupting me with whining or with “what are you doing Mom?” or “I want to read a book” or something like that.  I love my life 🙂  Anyway, Josiah had blood work done today and his counts are very low (as expected), but he is feeling pretty good with no fevers.  His only complaints are he gets pretty tired and he has a couple mouth sores.  So, they sent him home (PTL!) with some antibiotics and instructions not to do anything crazy.  That means no big social events or sky diving this weekend….drat, I guess we have to cancel our plans (ha).  We are very excited that we are home and will just spend a quiet weekend at home with healthy people.  Keep praying that he can remain healthy as he is not able to fight off ANYTHING right now.  The nurse said that if he had gone to just a family doctor with those kind of numbers they would would have called an ambulance.  But with the chemo this is what they want to happen and nobody (including us) gets too excited about it.  Cancer is such a weird world.

Have a super weekend!

  1. I agree, cancer is such a weird world. My mother in law too has been up and down with her treatments, having thrush or mouth sores is just no good. Thank you so much for the updates. We will be having a get together on 8/7 for our team and families and hope that you might be able to join us. We sure miss Josiah at work, please tell him his “best friends” are thinking of him.

My family sends their prayers! Have a great weekend.

  2. YAY for weekends at home!!! Hope every minute was as relaxing and enjoyable as weekends are with 2 little munchkins! 🙂 Bummer that ya missed out on the skydiving though! Hugs and kisses to all! Love you guys! Sarah, Nate, Jude & Cely

  3. HI. JUST READING THIS BOOK CALLED “EAT RIGHT 4 YOUR TYPE” BY DR. PETER J. D’ADAMO.

HE AND HIS FATHER HAVE DONE EXTENSIVE RESEARCH HOW FOODS ALTER OR INCREASE THE BLOODS ABILITIES BY THE FOODS WE EAT ACCORDING TO OUR BLOOD TYPE NEEDS. IT HAS A CHAPTER ON CANCER. IT ALSO HAS THE FOODS LISTED THAT ARE BENEFICIAL, NUETRAL, AND AVOID. VERY INSIGHTFUL AND EASY READING. I FOUND MY COPY AT THE LIBRARY.

PRAYING FOR YOU ALL. JAMES I:17
    BLESSINGS TO YOUR HOME. ~HOLLY
