Lincoln-isms

Yes, we’ve reached a new milestone.  Lincoln’s verbal skills have grown like crazy the last few months and I now have two children’s funny words/phrases to record for the ages.  Sorry, but I’m a mom…it’s what we do.  And for those of you who groan and moan and wonder if I ever talk about anything else…the answer is no. I don’t.  But to sweeten the deal, I do promise to periodically post ridiculously adorable pictures of what I consider the most precious faces on the planet.  Your welcome 🙂

So, without further adieu, my first “Lincoln-isms” post…enjoy:

  • Rubbing his uncles scruffy chin says “Hmmm, porcupine!”
  • With arms uplifted and batting his big blue eyes, he says “I hooooold you Mom!”, and I drop everything and pick him up because I can’t resist 🙂
  • “Mom, you tree.  I climb tree.”  and then he proceeds to do just as he said.
  • “You tree Mama.  Mmmmm, gum in hair Mama…mmmmm” he said this while picking “gum” out of my hair/branches and putting it in his mouth.
  • “I whale Mama.  I bite you finger!”
  • “Where O-wa go?”  O-wa = Ava
  • “I don’t like dis”  Often met with my response “I don’t care”
  • “Wha talk-bout?”
  • “Look, the suns up. Thank you sun!”
  • “Come here Mom!”  Why Lincoln?  “Because you love me Mom.”

  1. Awww! I just wanna hug him! I can’t wait to hear all these little phrases come out of his mouth! 🙂 LOVE the pictures that you put up…so stinkin’ cute…ahem, I mean handsome!

  2. Precious!! Thank for sharing, Jessica! This gave me JoySmiles this morning. My favorite was “I hold you, Mom!” reminded me of how my boys give me hugs and tell me they are from Jesus or from Daddy. Hugs to you, girl!
