Such a pretty picture; I am happy that you are able to start again…My father remarried when I was 8 years old, after my sweet mother died from cancer. God gifted me with the BEST second mother ever…she loved me with an unconditional love that is so hard to fathom. Actually, she loved all of us as there were 7 after the marriage, my dad 3 and her children 4, with with number 8 coming three years later!! Our situation was much like yours — my 2nd mother had lost her husband too, so it was Yours, Mine and then Ours. Both of my parents were able to love one another, yet, there was always that sweet remembrance of their first loves and they never made us kids feel uncomfortable when we spoke of our previous parents…may God richly bless you both as you become a new family unit.
